30 Days, 30 Ways for Mothers to Take Care of Themselves {Day 12}: Walk It Off

30 Days 30 Ways for MothersTake Care of Yourself Day 12

“In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks.”~ John Muir

Walking is like therapy.

I’m not kidding you.

When you’re mad, sad, feeling bad… take a walk.

When you’re happy, sappy, or feeling crappy… take a walk.

Okay, I’ll spare you from my very bad attempts at poetry, and simply tell you that taking a walk, even a stroll around the neighbourhood block can do wonders for your mood.

Take Care of Yourself with Ease Idea

Your “take care of yourself” with ease idea for today is to head out for a walk. It’s a great way to get your dose of Nature {see Day 1} and if you’d like, pop on some headphones and listen to an audio book {see Day 10}. Again, methodical multi-tasking at play.

It doesn’t have to be a power walk though you can do that and get some exercise in too.

It can be a rambling stroll, and a simple way to clear your head, breathe in some fresh air, listen to the birds chirping and soak in the flowers blooming. Nice!
