While we love personalised Christmas ornaments here at our home, one of the simplest things that we do is a fun twist on these ornaments by having Finlee and Chloe pick an ornament each every year to put on the tree.
We create memories that are revived when we take out the ornaments of Christmases past and it’s a sweet tradition that they’ll cherish as they grow every year and have a box filled with sweet ornaments from their childhood.
Every year, we head into Myer Centre in the city, have morning tea or lunch and then make our way to the ornaments section.
We spend about an hour looking through everything, laughing and then both Fin and Chloe choose their ornament.
When we get home, I write the year and their names on it with permanent markers and then they find a special spot to place it on the tree.
Sweet, simple and personalised too!

Your Christmas Cheer challenge activity for today is to start this sweet memory-making tradition with your kids and schedule a date in your calendar to head to the stores so your little ones can pick an ornament each.
Don’t forget to label it with their name and the year they got it in when you get back home.
Make a fun day out of it with lunch or evening tea and enjoy the experience of looking at the window displays and the ornaments.
