Capturing Childhood Memories by Nicky Johnston Illustrator

{Sponsored Post}

A few months ago my family and I traveled to Bali and stayed at the most amazing resort Grand Nikki Bali in order to spend some much needed quality time together.  During our stay in Bali, we experienced many wonderful delights that will be with our family forever.

As we walked along the beach, with the sand beneath our toes, we came across these beautiful camels that are part of the hotel. Finlee and Chloe were mesmerised. They held hands and absorbed everything. It’s these moments that make motherhood awesome. Its moments like this that create childhood memories.

Fast forward a couple months after Bali… I was on my phone one night scrolling through Instagram and came across a beautiful illustration created by Nicky Johnston illustrator to some amazing pieces of art.  After heading to her website and observing first hand the most beautiful illustrations I’ve ever seen, I emailed her immediately to see if she could create some illustrations for me from our time in Bali but also another image that holds a special place in my heart.

Just recently I received my illustrations and I was truly left speechless. I’m not normally at a loss of words, but this afternoon I was. Nicky has taken not just a photo, but a memory and turned it into something more then I could have ever asked for. Her attention to detail is brilliant, the emotion she brings out in the illustrations captures everything that the real photo did, but better.
