Lets be honest, most kids now a day don’t know how to write a letter to family and friends, or even go to the letter box to get the daily mail. The world of technology is slowing taking over and our kids are missing out in core life skills that will assist in shaping them for the future. So I decided to create the Finlee and Me Kids Pen Pal Program to assist our kids in developing important skills and long lasting friendships.
What Exactly is the Finlee and Me Kids Pen Pal Program?
The Finlee and Me Kids Pen Pal Program key focus is to get children connected and interested in letter writing/post card writing/picture drawing and so much more. It will also provide an opportunity for children to create long lasting relationships with their pen pal. There are also so many benefits for having your child participate in the program such as but not limited to: assists your child to develop literacy/numeracy skills, assist with global/cultural awareness, give your child opportunity to foster new relationships etc. The Finlee and Me Kids Pen Pal Program is for children ages 2-14.
Break Down of Cost to Participate in the Program
The cost is $10.00 per child and the break down of the costs are as follows:
$5 will go directly to Rafiki Mwema (the Australian charity Finlee and Me supports that assists very young girls who have been sexually abused in Kenya). The other $5.00 goes towards the Paypal fees we get charged per transaction, the stamps to post each Pen Pal information pack (Australia Post just raised their prices on Jan 4th, 2016 to $1.00 per card), cards, envelopes etc. This fee assists in people being accountable, but more importantly helps the courageous girls in Kenya; win-win for all involved.
Finlee and Me will use your personal data (address only) to provide your new pen pal with the details as to where to send your letters, post cards, pictures etc. By paying for this service, you agree to your address being sent to your new pen pal. We ask that when you provide your information to provide the parent’s first name and last name and write C/O your child’s name.
In the comments section please note the age of your child and if you have a preference if your child is matched with the same gender or not.
Finlee and Me is not responsible if your pen pal does not respond in a timely manner and a refund can not be granted. This program will run in good faith to all that participate.
Finlee and Me is not responsible for the screening of those that participate in the Finlee and Me Kids Pen Pal Program.
Closing date for this round is February 21st, 2016 which means you will not receive your card with all information until after March 1st, 2016 as we have to match all penpals, write all the cards etc.

Shipping Within Australia
Finlee & Me shipping prices are a flat rate of $9.95 this does not include bulky items or items sent straight from our distributor. For example, if you have a wooden kitchen that is bulky and super heavy your shipping rate will be increased to over the cost of this item. Finlee & Me would also like to add that shipping prices include: the actual cost of shipping and the packaging (that include the satchel/box/tape/bubble wrap etc).
Parcels being sent to remote locations, we reserve the right to pass on additional postage charges. We will however contact you prior to dispatch to receive your approval for any additional charges. Finlee & Me will do everything possible to keep postage and delivery to a minimum.
FREE SHIPPING FOR OVER $150
All purchases over $150 will receive free postage within Australia, this does not include bulky items or items sent straight from our distributor. Therefore, if you noticed a shipping cost even though your order total is over $150 it is more then likely that this is not an error but rather you have a bulky item (wooden kitchen, teepees, marble tree etc) or an item being shipped from our distributor (santa sacks, personalised night lights etc) in your cart.
Please be advised if you purchase an item that is pre-order we will hold your entire parcel and ship when that pre-order product arrives the warehouse. In the event you need the other items as an emergency we are happy for you to contact us and pay for the additional postage Shipping International
If you have ordered a customised order (like a personalised night light) please note that delivery times will vary between 2-4 weeks to make the item and this does not include shipping time.
If we expect any delays with your order Finlee & Me will contact you immediately and likewise if your order is urgent please let us know in the comments section at checkout and we will endeavour to dispatch it sooner.

Finlee & Me will happily assist with a return or exchange of any of our products purchased at full price from our online store within 30 days of the original receipt. The product that is being returned or exchanged must still be in the original packaging, tags attached and with the original receipt of purchase. In addition, the product must be new/unused/unworn/unwashed/not having any odour to the product like smoke or perfume. Finlee & Me will not exchange any product that is not accompanied with the original proof of purchase.
As internet shopping is not the same as conventional shopping, at Finlee & Me postage for returns/exchanges must be pre-paid and pre-paid only because this is a cost that we incur. When you send your return/exchange product back to Finlee & Me please ensure to follow the following steps:
Please make a note if you want your item returned or if your item is to be exchanged. If you are exchanging an item please indicate what new item you would like including the size, colour etc. If exchanging the item you may select an alternative product, however if the replacement item is priced higher than the item exchanged you will be required to pay for the difference.
Seal your items (in their original condition, with tags on and original proof of purchase) with an Australia Post Express Satchel (if applicable for exchange items) and then e-mail at email@example.com in order to get mailing contact details.
Once you have obtained the mailing address, please put address on your package and remember to take off the tracking number for your records.
Drop package off at the post office and Finlee & Me will complete everything else.
Finlee & Me is not responsible for packages not received and therefore, suggests you use a carrier that provides a tracking number and keeping the tracking number recorded in a safe place.
If you have requested a refund, a credit will be issued within 10 business days of receipt of returned goods.
Please note that Finlee & Me will not refund or exchange items that are special/ custom made (unless deemed faulty).
Finlee & Me will not return or exchange items that have been bought by international customers. All sales are final at checkout.
