30 Days 30 Ways for MothersTake Care of Yourself Day14

“Why do you go away? So that you can come back. So that you can see the place you came from with new eyes and extra colors. And the people there see you differently, too. Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving.” — Terry Pratchett

Now I know what you’re thinking.

You’re probably thinking has Angela lost her freaking mind.

This is simply not going to happen. Well, hear me out.

ONE night away from the kids and partner.

ONE night were you can be left with your own thoughts,

ONE night to get lost in a city, sleep when you want to sleep, eat when you want to eat.

Trust me 24 hours will make you feel like a new person again.

It will allow you to regroup which means you’ll actually be able to give more to your family because you took that ONE night and nurtured yourself.

Take Care of Yourself with Ease Idea

Now I know this isn’t something that you can just up and do. It needs planning and it needs the help of your partner or a sitter.

So, today, all I want you to do is let the thought of going away for the night sit with you for a while.

Check out the places you can go to.

Talk to your partner, parents or sitters about the idea.

Just get started with it.

Once you actually accept and enjoy the idea, the implementing will happen.
