30 Days, 30 Ways for Mothers to Take Care of Themselves {Day 7}: Ready, Set, Go!

30 Days 30 Ways for MothersTake Care of Yourself day 7

“I’m personally more of a low-maintenance type of person. I want things to be easy and quick, especially when it comes to getting dressed.”~ Shelley Hennig

I’m low maintenance too and more often than not, you’ll catch me in sweatpants, a hoodie and my hair in a messy bun. And no, that’s not Brooke Shields-style messy, it is more “my-toddler-made-my-hair” messy.

But at the same time, I realize that getting dressed in “work clothes” can make a huge difference on my mood and productivity.

I feel more in control, don’t want to hide under the covers when the door bell rings and I’m also setting a good example for the kids. So they don’t ask me “Where are we going?” when I tell them to put on some clothes!

Take Care of Yourself with Ease Idea

Getting ready doesn’t have to be complicated or challenging.

Simply, pick out an outfit the evening before. Hang it on the outside of your closet. Want to go an extra notch? Pick out matching shoes as well.

Run a brush through your hair, pull it into a low maintenance pony tail or a saucy messy bun and ta-dah!

That’s it.

No more spending all day in PJs and spit-up tees.

Do it and tell me that I’m wrong.

That you don’t feel fresher, cleaner and even, more confident when you’re ready.

Take Care of Yourself with Intention

You know what to do.

Pick out your outfit that you’ll wear tomorrow. Click a pic and share it on Facebook or Instagram!
