30 Days, 30 Ways for Mothers to Take Care of Themselves {Day 5}: A Pocket Full of Posies

30 Days 30 Ways for MothersTake Care of Yourself day 5

“Weeds are flowers, too, once you get to know them.” — A.A. Milne

This quote is so relevant today.

Flowers don’t have to be fancy-schmancy bouquets that cost a bomb.

Flowers don’t have to be exotic like orchids or expensive.

Flowers don’t have to be staged in crystal vases or exquisite bowls.

Flowers can be weeds, chosen with love.

Flowers can be messy bunches picked at random from the park or garden by your kids.

Flowers can be placed humbly but lovingly in an old coffee mug given to you by your husband.

As long as they make you smile, fill your heart with happiness and make you feel nice about the day, flowers can be any “plant” from anywhere. Yes, even weeds!

Take Care of Yourself with Ease Idea

All of this to say that for today’s take care of yourself idea, you’ve gotta pick or get some flowers for yourself.

Don’t let excuses like no garden, no time, no money or no vase hold you back.

When you head outdoors for your daily dose of sunshine and Nature {see Day 1;)} pick a few flowers {or weeds!} and bring them back, trim them and place them in a vase, bowl, or coffee mug!

Put them on the dining table or your dresser, where you can see them easily and experience how wonderful something so simple can make you feel.

Take Care of Yourself with Intention

Flowers, flowers everywhere!

Let’s see those flowers that you pick. Head over to our Facebook page or Instagram to share. Use the hashtag #30DaysCare

Remember, baby steps matter. So it’s okay if you’re behind a day or two.

Share what you’re doing to take care of yourself. Because at the end of the day, that is all that matters.

PLUS… we’ll be picking winners at the end of the 30 days too!!
